Samantha Alborno

Samantha’s passion for cooking was born for a necessity: her mum was not able to cook and that was not in harmony with her passion for the good food! Would this be the reason why her graduation thesis in Modern History is titled “Aspects of rural life in Alta Val Corsaglia between 18th and 20th century”?

 

Since cildhood she has been dedicated to the kitchen thanks to her Granmothers. When adult, she improved her creativity experimenting recipies using natural ingredients hailing from her land, Liguria.

At the stove, in her house in Cogoleto, she has started the experimenting phase: there she trys, she takes pictures, she modifies, she documents and especially… she posts! In May 2010 she opens a blog (LaboratorioVeg.it then become CucinaSamantha.it) that is immediatly a success: Samantha’s solarity and explosive simplicity in her food-tutorial conquered an increasingly large audience, faithful and responsive.


She attends many courses with chefs of natural haute cuisine, among whitch stands out the influence of Simone Salvini, who will be an inspiration for the design of many simple recipies for everyone, spreading and sharing the healthy and varied Mediterranean cuisine. This fits perfectly with another contagious passion of Samantha: the love for a green life, attentive to recovery and recycling, to safeguarding the well-being and environmentally conscious.


Samantha has a lot of collaborations with vegetarian and natural cooking schools and associations, and from 2012 she is author and host of “In cucina con Samantha” (se vuoi tradurlo è più giusto “Let’s cook with Samantha”) broadcast on Telegenova and available on Youtube as well.


She is salso author and host of the program “Naturalmente.. in cucina” (potresti tradurlo con “NAturally cooking”) (Donna Moderna Web TV).


She also works with many radio stations and newspapers, where she runs cuisine advices and green-style columns. Samantha’s Facebook page (95.000 fans with which she has an interaction at the highest levels) prooves her empathic ability and her total mastery in combining Mediterranean tastes and flavors, that she propose and share. Perhaps it is also thanks to her diploma in counseling if she is able to cook, to tell (stories), to relate and.. to conquer everyone!


She has many different passions: cooking, walking in the nature, reading, enjoying her three cats and picking mushrooms!
