June 2023
The International Exhibition of Organic and Natural Products launch event was held at the Hyatt Regency in Casablanca.
Organic farming is expanding rapidly in Morocco. At the end of 2021, the sector recorded a cultivated area of 18,000 hectares and more than 650 operators. In recent years, the North African country has experienced exceptional development in organic farming, thanks to strong local demand and exports. Production exceeds 130,000 tons annually.
On these more than positive premises and as part of an increasingly effective internationalisation strategy for SANA, the press conference to launch the 35th edition of the event, scheduled to take place at BolognaFiere from 7 to 10 September 2023, was held in Casablanca.
The press conference is part of ICE's strategy for actions to support the agri-food sector, carried out in collaboration with FederBio, which has identified Morocco as one of the target countries for 2023, due to the level of development and potential of the market and its proximity to other markets in the North African and French-speaking West African area.
The event, organized by the ICE Casablanca Office at the Hyatt Regency in Casablanca, in agreement with the ICE Agri-Food Products Office, in partnership with the FederBio Association and collaboration with BolognaFiere - SANA, was attended by Italian institutions in Morocco and their Moroccan counterparts (CRI/Regional Investment Center - Ministry of Interior). Also present were representatives of the Moroccan business world, such as MarocBIO - Moroccan industry association, and a wide representation of the industry press, distributors, importers and retailers.
