In a few lines, tell us who you are, what makes your company unique, and what your mission is. OHissa is a team of people who work every day with passion to bring wellbeing into the daily lives of those who choose us. We believe that feeling lighter, more energetic, fitter and more balanced shouldn’t be complicated: it should be simple, natural and enjoyable. That’s why we start from the sea—its authentic flavour and its strength. Our mission is clear: to process and package, in-house and with innovative technologies, the best fish on the market.

What inspired your participation in SANA Food 2026, and what goals or expectations are guiding you in this new edition?

For OHissa, this participation represents the natural evolution of a path we began several years ago—one carried out not only within industry events but also through initiatives and projects aimed at promoting a culture of healthy eating. Today, more than ever, the idea of food as a tool for wellbeing is central. Our goal is to go beyond the traditional narrative of the seafood sector: no longer simply a “fish producer,” but a promoter of fish as a daily health‑enhancing food.

This vision also translates into a new market model based on a circular supply chain—producer, distributor, and end consumer—understood as an integrated, transparent system focused on nutritional value and quality. SANA Food 2026 therefore represents the connecting thread between what OHissa is today and how we aim to be recognized: a benchmark for a modern, conscious, and health‑oriented approach to seafood nutrition.

Today’s consumers are increasingly conscious about health and well-being. How has this awareness influenced your production choices or inspired new product concepts?

OHissa has always produced 100% natural foods in-house. This growing focus on health and wellbeing stems from a deep understanding of the role our products can play within today’s seafood market. ULT freezing at –60°C, manual processing in Maremma and rigorous batch-by-batch controls ensure a product capable of preserving all its original characteristics in a completely natural way.

Tradition and innovation often go hand in hand in a company’s growth journey. How do you manage to honor your roots while giving them a contemporary interpretation?

Our roots guide every choice we make. We grew up in Maremma, surrounded by the scent of the sea and a deep respect for the land. This work is part of our lives: it is passion, responsibility and care for those who bring our raw fish to their tables. Every package reflects hours of work, strict controls and a daily commitment to ensuring fish that is safe, traceable and processed with respect for its natural qualities. For us, innovation means enhancing the full potential of the product while keeping its authenticity intact.

Transparency, sustainability, and traceability have become essential values in today’s market. How do you bring these principles to life in your distribution practices?

We translate transparency and sustainability into concrete actions by ensuring MSC- and ASC‑certified fishing and aquaculture, a zero‑waste supply chain model, emission‑reduction strategies, and the use of renewable energy. Our processes are fully traceable and verifiable, with a strong focus on people’s wellbeing, supported by certifications such as UNI/PdR 125 and IFS Food, which guarantee quality, safety, and responsibility throughout the entire distribution chain. Our commitment goes beyond products: it also includes the quality of life and wellbeing of our team.
