Agritur Cooperative was founded in 1989 in Lizzano in Belvedere, in the heart of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, near Corno alle Scale, on the initiative of a group of young people with the aim of enhancing the natural resources of the surrounding area and creating employment through high-quality agriculture. For over thirty years, the Cooperative has been dedicated to fruit processing, with particular specialization in organic forest fruits, such as wild black blueberries. Agritur’s mission is to offer genuine, certified products, the result of a short and controlled supply chain, with full respect for the environment and the territory in which it operates.

What inspired your participation in SANA Food 2026, and what goals or expectations are guiding you in this new edition?

Our Cooperative has been taking part in the SANA Fair for many years, and participation in SANA Food 2026 represents an important opportunity for Agritur to engage with an audience that is attentive to organic farming, sustainability, and food quality. For us, the fair is a privileged space to share our journey, present our products, and strengthen relationships with operators and professionals in the sector, while enhancing the work of the Cooperative and its strong connection to the territory.

Today’s consumers are increasingly conscious about health and well-being. How has this awareness influenced your production choices or inspired new product concepts?

The growing focus on health and well-being has strengthened choices that Agritur has long embraced. Certified organic production, careful selection of raw materials, and the adoption of processing techniques that preserve the nutritional and organoleptic characteristics of the fruit respond to the demand for genuine, simple, high-quality foods, where taste and naturalness coexist.

Tradition and innovation often go hand in hand in a company’s growth journey. How do you manage to honor your roots while giving them a contemporary interpretation?

Tradition and innovation coexist in Agritur’s journey. The production processes are inspired by the agricultural culture of the Apennines and by the enhancement of forest fruits, while being complemented by modern production solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and sustainability. In this way, strong territorial roots are interpreted in a contemporary way, while preserving the products’ identity intact.

Transparency, sustainability, and traceability have become essential values in today’s market. How do you bring these principles to life in your distribution practices?

These values guide the Cooperative’s entire activity. The direct relationship with member suppliers allows for constant control over the origin of raw materials and production processes. Environmental commitment takes shape through choices such as eliminating plastic from packaging, using certified materials, and relying on energy from renewable sources, in order to guarantee traceable organic products that are consistent with a responsible vision of food distribution.
