The story of Masserie Amodio began in the 1990s when Nonno Peppino decided to live and work with his family in the Mottola countryside in Puglia. Today Giuseppe, Michele, and Alissia run the farm, overseeing and managing the agricultural activities of olive growing, viticulture, livestock farming, and the various productions including dairy.

What inspired your participation in SANA Food 2026, and what goals or expectations are guiding you in this new edition?

Our choice to participate at SANA food 2026 is given by our desire to promote our products in a context where we can create new business relationship, while also allowing the valorization and communication of the fundamental concepts on which our agricultural work is based. Conscious and quality nutrition, environmental sustainability, and ethical innovation are our principles, developed over the years, starting from a path of balance between nature and work that, since the very beginning with Nonno Peppino, has always characterized the farm's corporate philosophy.

Today’s consumers are increasingly conscious about health and well-being. How has this awareness influenced your production choices or inspired new product concepts?

We transform everything we produce, for example, trasforming the milk of our animals to make dairy products every day using traditional local cheesemaking techniques. We pay particular attention to the well-being of our animals and the environment in which we operate, striving to be consistent with the One Health principle, which links human, animal, and environmental health. We're pleased to see a profound shift in consumer habits in recent years: people are looking for products that are not only delicious, but also balanced, transparent, and consistent with a healthy lifestyle, which is precisely in line with our company philosophy.

Tradition and innovation often go hand in hand in a company’s growth journey. How do you manage to honor your roots while giving them a contemporary interpretation?

Tradition and innovation are not opposites but complementary forces. Our roots represent the identity, values, and knowledge built over time, starting by Nonno Peppino; innovation is the tool that allows us to keep them alive and relevant in the present.

Transparency, sustainability, and traceability have become essential values in today’s market. How do you bring these principles to life in your distribution practices?

We translate the concepts of sustainability, traceability, and transparency into concrete operational processes, always in line with the idea of a responsible, coherent, and sustainable economy that is the basis of Masserie Amodio's work.
