MARIGOSA was founded in 1986 as a youth agricultural company and in 2008 the Producers' Organisation was established, increasing and consolidating its influence in the Sardinian fruit and vegetable sector, so much so that it guarantees better quality fruit and vegetables through careful control of all stages of the production chain, which over the years has also been transferred to processing.
What inspired your participation in SANA Food 2026, and what goals or expectations are guiding you in this new edition?
Our strong focus on certified quality products and the search for new distributors and end consumers who fall within SanaFood's specific target market.
Today’s consumers are increasingly conscious about health and well-being. How has this awareness influenced your production choices or inspired new product concepts?
We are celebrating 40 years of activity in the production of fresh produce, which has always followed strict regulations and currently adheres to the National Integrated Production System. In recent years, market developments and the growing demand for certified products have prompted us to develop an organic line, ranging from fresh produce, such as Spinsoso artichokes, to processed products, such as tomato pulp, pasta and oil.
Tradition and innovation often go hand in hand in a company’s growth journey. How do you manage to honor your roots while giving them a contemporary interpretation?
Our deep roots in the local area, with over 40 years of production, have been the focal point for the creation of a line of products in oil and creams, where the tradition of freshness has been combined with the most modern recipes for processed foods.
Our priority is to create ready-to-eat recipes that have traditional characteristics, i.e. enhancing the natural flavour of the raw ingredients, combined with new production techniques that guarantee not only goodness but also food safety
Transparency, sustainability, and traceability have become essential values in today’s market. How do you bring these principles to life in your distribution practices?
Sa Marigosa's mission is to produce quality, which is why it is committed to developing a GREEN THREAD OF QUALITY, i.e. the creation of a traceability system that covers everything from production and processing to marketing. The green thread is achieved through increasingly technological production processes that guarantee food safety, maintaining high work ethics, attention to energy saving and waste management. The company's core business is to guarantee the best quality of fruit and vegetable products through careful control of all stages of the production chain.
