February 2026
Fonte della Vita was founded in the 1980s, within a context of strong cultural momentum linked to natural nutrition and macrobiotics, at a time when plant-based proteins were beginning to be explored as a response to emerging needs for balance and wellbeing. Its inspiration stemmed from the observation of simple, traditional dietary practices, such as the artisanal preparation of plant-based drinks from rice, without fermentation or complex processes, relying instead on essential gestures that respect the raw material. On these foundations, Fonte della Vita was established: a brand that has contributed to the development of organic plant-based nutrition by introducing products such as tofu, seitan, tempeh and other protein solutions, always guided by a balance between tradition, research and a holistic vision of wellbeing.
What inspired your participation in SANA Food 2026, and what goals or expectations are guiding you in this new edition?
SANA Food 2026 represents a natural context of storytelling and exchange for Fonte della Vita. The brand was born and has grown within the culture of natural and organic nutrition, and SANA has always been the place where these values find space, dialogue, and recognition. Taking part in this edition means reaffirming the brand’s historical contribution to the development of organic plant-based proteins and engaging with a knowledgeable, attentive, and specialised audience, interested not only in products but also in the vision behind them.
Today’s consumers are increasingly conscious about health and well-being. How has this awareness influenced your production choices or inspired new product concepts?
From its very beginnings, Fonte della Vita was founded on a reflection on wellbeing understood as overall balance, rather than the mere absence of problems. Attention to health has guided the choice of plant-based, organic ingredients and processing methods inspired by simple practices, avoiding unnecessarily complex processes. Today, this vision remains highly relevant: the conscious consumer recognises the value of essential products that place raw materials at the centre, respecting their natural timing and intrinsic characteristics.
Tradition and innovation often go hand in hand in a company’s growth journey. How do you manage to honor your roots while giving them a contemporary interpretation?
The roots of Fonte della Vita lie in the macrobiotic tradition and in a holistic vision of nutrition, which in the 1980s represented a pioneering approach. Enhancing these roots today does not mean distorting them, but rather reinterpreting them in light of contemporary needs, maintaining a balance between respect for original practices and the pursuit of modern solutions capable of engaging with a more mature and aware market. Tradition and innovation coexist in the ability to remain faithful to a vision, adapting it without losing its meaning.
Transparency, sustainability, and traceability have become essential values in today’s market. How do you bring these principles to life in your distribution practices?
For Fonte della Vita, these values translate first and foremost into a responsible approach to the product and its context. Sustainability is closely linked to the choice of organic, plant-based ingredients and to an offering consistent with the concept of balanced nutrition. The relationship with the specialised channel and with knowledgeable operators enables an ongoing dialogue based on expertise, trust and continuity—key elements in ensuring the long-term solidity and credibility of organic products.
