Olio Visconti – Storie di Terra is a family-run agricultural company based in Torremaggiore, in the Alta Daunia area of Southern Italy. Founded in 1974 and now led by the third generation, the company focuses on organic extra virgin olive oil production from native cultivars, alongside tomato preserves and traditional agricultural products. Our mission is to enhance our territory through sustainable farming, combining quality, environmental respect, and innovation.

What inspired your participation in SANA Food 2026, and what goals or expectations are guiding you in this new edition?

As an organic agricultural company, taking part in SANA Food feels like a natural step for us. The event fully represents values we have always embraced: authenticity, sustainability, and high-quality food production. Our goal is to meet industry professionals looking for products that express sustainable and recognizable quality, from extra virgin olive oil to tomato preserves, and to build partnerships based on a shared vision for the future of food.

Today’s consumers are increasingly conscious about health and well-being. How has this awareness influenced your production choices or inspired new product concepts?

Since 2020, we have fully converted our production to organic farming, a choice driven primarily by ethical values. We have always believed in the principles of “Good, Clean and Fair,” favoring natural cultivation methods that respect the environment. This approach has strengthened the value of our products, made from native varieties and the recovery of ancient seeds, grown in harmony with natural cycles and offering consumers healthy, authentic, and fully traceable food.

Tradition and innovation often go hand in hand in a company’s growth journey. How do you manage to honor your roots while giving them a contemporary interpretation?

As a third-generation farm, tradition and innovation naturally coexist in our daily work. We preserve the centuries-old culture of olive growing while adopting modern harvesting and processing techniques that help maintain the oil’s organoleptic qualities. Olive oil is an ancient food, yet today quality is also achieved through advanced milling technologies, allowing us to combine agricultural heritage with continuous innovation.

Transparency, sustainability, and traceability have become essential values in today’s market. How do you bring these principles to life in your distribution practices?

Transparency is the foundation of all our partnerships. We work with distributors and operators who share our values, because sustainability concerns the entire supply chain, not only production. Traceability, clarity of processes, and mutual trust are essential to building long-term relationships and growing together while keeping product quality and respect for the final consumer at the center.
