At Paper and Fold, we believe in a design approach that respects materials and enhances ideas. We use 100% recycled cardboard, reduce waste throughout the production process, and operate with over 60% solar energy. Our technologies – water-based printing and laser engraving on cardboard, wood, and paper – achieve unique standards within the market. Our products are patented and fully customizable, and are delivered flat-packed, significantly reducing costs, transportation impact, and storage space. Designed to be easy to disassemble and dispose of, our solutions are built to last, remaining with the customer and adapting to ever-evolving uses. We operate across multiple sectors, from cosmetics to food and design, offering versatile and tailored solutions. We invest one third of our resources in research and development, because innovation is not a goal for us, but a mindset. Since 2021, we have been growing steadily, driven by a clear vision: to create sustainable, intelligent, and distinctive solutions. This is Paper and Fold.
What inspired your participation in SANA Food 2026, and what goals or expectations are guiding you in this new edition?
We are joining SANA Food 2026 to introduce an innovative approach to sustainable packaging, built on unique technologies and recycled materials. Our goal is to meet environmentally conscious brands, showcase our patented solutions, and start new collaborations with companies seeking customizable, lightweight, low impact products. It’s an opportunity to strengthen our growth and share our vision of responsible design.
Today’s consumers are increasingly conscious about health and well-being. How has this awareness influenced your production choices or inspired new product concepts?
The growing consumer focus on health and well being has reinforced our commitment to safe materials, recycled resources, and clean processes. We use only 100% recycled cardboard, water based printing, and laser technologies that require no additional chemicals. This awareness has inspired us to develop lightweight, hygienic, easily disposable solutions free from harmful substances—ideal for brands seeking responsible, sustainable packaging.
Tradition and innovation often go hand in hand in a company’s growth journey. How do you manage to honor your roots while giving them a contemporary interpretation?
We honor our roots by maintaining a strong connection to Italian manufacturing culture—care, precision, and respect for materials. We reinterpret this tradition through advanced technologies such as laser engraving and water based printing, combined with a sustainable, patented design approach. This allows us to transform a simple material like cardboard into innovative, contemporary, and responsible solutions.
Transparency, sustainability, and traceability have become essential values in today’s market. How do you bring these principles to life in your distribution practices?
Transparency, sustainability, and traceability guide every stage of our distribution. We use recycled materials and clean processes, clearly communicate product composition, and ensure verifiable supply chains. Delivering products flat reduces transport and storage impact, while easy disassembly supports a responsible lifecycle. Every choice is designed to offer clients real, measurable value.
